In the Gallery/Gallery-Adjacent
This is a subset of my Overlooked series, focusing on the scenes and ordinary objects that we ignore and may actually walk over in daily life. I find these aesthetically interesting when focused on, captured, and presented with the eye of a street photographer. In this subset, such tableaus are amid the “art” on the walls, pedestals, or floor, yet these are unrecognized as worthy subjects of art in themselves in this context. Some of them are Gallery-Adjacent, meaning next to or within a block of a gallery or an art supply store (therefore within the expected view of the artists entering the building).
Captured in camera. Not set up. No Photoshop compositing.
